Celebrating Our Learners at the Wirral Met Awards!
We were delighted to attend the recent Wirral Met Awards, an inspiring evening dedicated to recognising the hard work, progress, and achievements of adult learners. The event was a true celebration of personal growth through education, and we were proud to be part of it.
We’re thrilled to share that three of our learners were nominated by their tutors and received awards on the night. Each of them has shown outstanding commitment to their learning journey and thoroughly deserved the recognition.

Meet our nominated learners:
- Adult Learner of the Year: Zachary Askew, Counselling Level 1 at Birkenhead Libary nominated by Tutor Jenna
“Zachary has been a valued member of his course, bringing a positive attitude and real dedication to every session”
- Adult Learner of the Year: Ellie Mulligan, Adverse Childhood Experiences Level 2 at Equilibrium nominated by Tutor Jen
“Ellie has grown in confidence and knowledge throughout her course, making a strong contribution both in class and in her written work”
- Personal Achievement Award: Kylie Bray, Mental Health Level 1 at Lark Lane Community Centre nominated by Tutor Jenna
“Kylie has shown incredible determination, managing to balance her personal responsibilities while continuing to engage with her learning”
We’re incredibly proud of Zachary, Kylie, and Ellie, as well as all of our learners who continue to pursue their goals through education. These awards are a powerful reminder of what adult learning can achieve, building skills, boosting confidence, and opening new doors. A big thank you to Wirral Met College for hosting such a wonderful evening.
