3D Training in Partnership with Households into Work

We’re excited to share news of our recent partnership with Households into Work. Households into Work is a programme run by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, their overall aim is to support individuals in tackling barriers preventing them from making progress towards Education, Training and Employment.

Households into Work has recently appointed new Trainee Race Equality Employment Advocates. These dedicated advocates will play a crucial role in the Combined Authority’s Households into Work programme, working closely with its Race Equality Hub to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities who face barriers to accessing employment opportunities.

To help ensure the Trainee Race Equality Employment Advocates are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need, we have worked closely with Households into Work to develop a tailored training programme. This programme is specifically designed to empower the advocates in their new roles, enabling them to feel more confident and be able to provide effective support and guidance to their clients.

During the program, participants successfully completed the following: Information, Advice, and Guidance Level 1; Counselling Skills Level 1; Mastering Positive Communication; Building Resilience; Hoarding; and Substance Misuse and Addiction Awareness.

“3D Training have provided valuable training to our four Trainee Race Equality Employment Advocates. Over the course of the training, the individuals have grown in confidence and are now utilising the newly acquired knowledge and skills to support clients with personal barriers to gaining employment. We, as a programme, are really pleased with the result of this training and are looking forward to seeing increased outcomes in the coming months. Special thanks to Jackie and Imelda for building an excellent relationship with the trainees. They have appreciated all of your encouragement and support in helping them to successfully achieve their IAG qualification.”

“Thank you for what you have taught us. I was not a fan of counselling but now I have changed my mindset, Imelda had a big part of that. I am more resilient. I am intrigued at progressing on to the Counselling Level 2 qualification. I would like to continue to the next level, to further help my clients.”
